Description

Hi, I'm trying to install on Fedora Core 8, I'm getting a weird issue when running setup.py:

running install running build running build_py running build_scripts running install_lib running install_scripts changing mode of /usr/bin/CryptoBoxWebserver to 755 changing mode of /usr/bin/CryptoBoxRootActions to 755 running install_data error: can't copy 'debian/cryptobox-server.init': doesn't exist or not a regular file

I have'nt been able to find a solution, i'm working on it now. Any help would be appreciated =]

The CryptoBox setup.py script is unfortunately written for Debian/Linux systems only.

I never tried to install the source package in FC8. But there is a short howto for openSuse which you can easily adapt.

thanks for your feedback!

as a workaround you could try to do the following:

IMO this init script should also work for FC8. Try to enable the service via the runlevel editor of your system configuration tool (at least it is called runlevel editor in suse's YaST).

does that fix your problem?
